I gotcha -it can be tough, I think bosses kind of think about making themselves look good as opposed to making better material as stupid as that sounds - also with heavily corp stuff, you get too many cooks in the kitchen and lose the focus of messaging.

Maybe you frame it as an experiment- say, hey, I was looking at the past few sales I made and my customers really resonated with “X, Y, Z”

I want to see if I can create a personal flyer / whatever I can use when prospecting. I’d be happy to report the results. But I essentially want to highlight the reasons people are buying and see if it can help us make more sales.

Just try to frame it as a win-win.

Or maybe say, I had a few customers ask me about X,Y,Z - may I create a flyer that calls it out, I think our customer base would appreciate it.

Just try to come off as friendly, and proactive. If anything your boss should appreciate that
